After watching the Parade from the vantage point of Santa Monica and La Cienega I intended to make my way to the grounds. While I did, a couple hours later, I also managed to make some stops at the LASC / Diesel party and a few other bars in the general area.
Walking past LASC I saw Ken, who was running the event, and he thankfully pulled into the fete. The main event took place on the roof, while there was a small reception in-store. The top of the parking structure was AstroTurfed out with kiddie pools abounding – some filled with water and a few with just some small balls for lounging. Party-goers drank freely, while models in barely there swimsuits lounged around while chatting up the crowd. Good fashion ran a muck, but then again, wouldn’t you expect that from a Diesel party? The choice to have the event of the roof left the event feeling spacious and inviting, even though the event was filled to the brim with a line by the elevators for the majority of the party’s duration. The big surprise at this event was Kelly Rowland’s appearance, she’s adorable btw.

The Drag Race finale airs tonight with 2 1/2 hours of new un-aired content including Untucked, and the Reunion special. Having been on set with the ladies all season I’m rather excited to see the edited and polished outcome – you are in for a treat. & if that’s not enough to satisfy your queen craving, the top 3 contenders will also be making an appearance on Wendy WIlliams’ show today. Not too sure it was wise of Wendy to have guests with better wigs than her, but at least she can finally get some much needed makeup tips.
It’s not too late to find a viewing party here >> I know Ongina will be hosting at Here Lounge, and given that information chances are I’ll end up there.

Thanks to my dear friend Daisy O’Dell I was informed of, & was able to be involved with the Manifest Equality Project last week. The event took place in the empty lot on Vine that was previously a Big Lots, and the transformation from that into art gallery was nothing short of miraculous. I’m really appreciative that I was able to be a part of such an amazing event, and though the gallery may now be closed it’s purpose still lives on – more information can be found on their website. Thank you to all that attended. Continue Reading →
