Earlier in the month we conducted a little experiment at Cub Scout and handed out a couple disposable cameras for the crowd to make use of. While wondering whether we were actually going to get the cameras back, the more pertinent question given the clientele was how many dick shots we were going to get. There were a few, and let’s just say they were lackluster, likely given the angles, so we’ll not post for modesty’s sake. Aside from those, y’all did a good job – thnx.

Critter Control turned it out again this past weekend at Cub Scout at the Eagle. DJ Chris Bowen donned his bear mask and did his best Donna Summer, playing disco and electro infused dance songs. The crowd was particularly bearish this week, with the execption of some adorable otters and cubs, but I’m not complaining. LadyBear brought IT, with the fan blowing through her hair, grubbing on birthday cupcakes and giving face like Naomi all night long. I was sad not to see DJ Victor but I hear is set up with a residency in Costa Rica, not bad! Cub Scout continues to be a fun, frisky and free love kind of party that doesn’t let down.

A year has come and gone since the birth of Critter Control’s Cub Scout, and in that time it’s quickly become an east-side institution. Though I wasn’t there for the first one, I’ve managed to attend most of the monthly dates, and it became one of my favorite parties in 2010. The lovable Lady Bear hosted as per usual, and Sleazy McQueen provided the guest DJ set.

This past Friday Mrs. Bear debuted her holiday alter ego, Santa Claws at Cub Scout – granted the claws were exaggerated glitter nails, but they could still take an eye out and likely pierce through skin. Given Christmas is fast approaching and that we’re in the midst of Chanukah, holiday parties are becoming all the rage. For Critter Control’s monthly destination at the Eagle the gentle-furries of Critter Control opted to construct a photo-booth under direction from Lady Bear. Martin, genius that he is, held court and manned the booth; the result being some ill as fuck imagery. I think many of you have now found your Xmas cards – just don’t send it to your mom.
Also, by the looks of it I missed an appearance by one of my favourite gingers, Aaron Castle. Luckily we get to catch up at his birthday party at Jane’s House this coming Wednesday – hint, hint: y’all should go. Details here.
