The tranny train pulled into town from SF last weekend, and as would be expected the shenanigans ensued. ‘Circus’ would be an adequate word to describe the series of events from past Friday evening. Heklina and the other ladies from the bay joined forces with Cody Bayne (@codybayne) and a few familiar LA performers to put on a show that can only be rivaled by few.
The highlight of the evening was legend Kembra Pfahler’s performance – after seeing her I can now fully understand why so many performers look to her referentially for influence. It was also good to see the fun, friendly faces like Lina Lecaro (@L_in_A), Mario Diaz (@mariodiaz), & Nacho Nava (@mustachemondays), amongst others.
In addition to the onstage entertainment, World of Wonder’s (@worldofwonder) drunk Damiana was on hand to conduct some interesting interviews. The full Daily Freakshow episode will likely be up shortly, but you can view images from the night right now. Check below.

Is there a better way to spend a Sunday than drinking by the pool in a parking lot, well a refurbished parking lot behind Tony’s Bar? Nope. With several amazing DJ’s including Josh Peace and Daisy O’Dell spinning all day, and Andres Rigal and Nacho Nava behind the wheel we were all but guaranteed a Sunday Funday. The lot was completely transformed with fence to fence astroturf, and totally pimped out with a pool, a water-slide, several water balloons, and jello shots galore just start. And though most of the swim-wear wowed, I have to say the astroturf dress beyond took the cake.

Immediately upon arriving back in LA I had to make a drop off at the airport – bye Allen & Tim, after which I spent the following hours recharging for Mustache Mondays. For me a recharge consists of sushi and a haircut with T.Yee, fyi. Hadn’t been in a few weeks & I really needed my fix. Aside from the distance making my heart grow fonder, it was also door whore Quentin’s birthday, and BLOK was performing to boot. This, combined with special guest hosting duties to be performed by Raja made it the must attend destination for my night.
Jesse St. John and family, yes they’re all related, tore down the house, and I mean that quite literally. There was seriously some wallpaper missing from the stage post performance, no lie. Not going to point any fingers but I think the culprit was blond. Elephant also impressed with some bloody nosed backup dancers. Though the crowning achievement of the evening was likely when the birthday boy unwrapped his present, a lap dance. Thank you Mustache for solidifying my reasons for missing LA.
