Spring fever at Cub Scout with Chris Bowen + Victor Rodriguez. Birds chirped, bunnies hopped, and pastures were green with new beginnings. Mating season is clearly starting early this year.

Vandamn. NYC weekly Vandam at Greenhouse (the “organically conscious” club) provided ridiculously good visual interest Sunday night. Maybe the grass on this coast is greener, but my first assignment in the
City got me especially hype. So thankful for JUANITA MORE, my fellow West Coast transplant; her delicious beats had the children entranced until the wee wee hours. Fashion Week spillover, familiar faces, and
gyrating B’East Coast bodies made this packed throwback of a festa one to remember. Oh yeah, weenie and dogs came out, too. SERVE GOTHAM, SERRRVE!

This past weekend Pride festivities took place in Chicago, Seattle, New York and San Francisco. I opted to continue the tradition of heading north and swing by various parties. Highlights included MR. on Friday, the double dose of Joshua J. events on Saturday, and of course Juanita More’s famous Pride party at the Phoenix Hotel. The weekend was a blur, likely for more people than just I but then again it wouldn’t be Pride without the repression of bad decisions. Good times, forgotten by some, it can happen when Rihanna is your spirit animal.

With LA Pride fast approaching, it reminds me that San Francisco’s edition isn’t far behind. Over the past few years it’s become a modern tradition to make the trek up north and partake in the festivities, the highlight of which is always Juanita MORE’s annual Pride party. Having become good friends with the SF icon, I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed the event and it appears that I’ll be granted that same privilege again this year. There’s no other place to be on Sunday.

This party at Grand Star Jazz Club had so much awesome stuff to offer! Not only was Juanita More hitting the decks hard, it was also the release of a favorite gay quarterly ‘zine JIMMY! Editor and Chief Jimmy Vogel played the part of the proud, but humble papa. Phylis Navidad was the beautiful hostess of the night. Another fabulous face soaking up the maternity was the ever-glamorous Gregory Alexander. My personal favorite was the serve, serve, serving being
done by DJ Trident! All in all it was one sexy Mother!

Drag Royalty from the north has come down south for a special night of unconventional glamour, and you’d be wise not to miss out. Pop Tart‘s owner and legend in the making Phyliss Navidad curates a splendid evening by inviting her mother , hence the name, to come play some music amongst the company of LA mainstay DJ Trident and fellow family member Victor Rodriguez. Given the line-up mentioned, you should already be getting gussied up to get down. Expect some photo presence, so look sharp – you don’t want to disappoint Mother.

When I asked Jeremy for a recap on last weekend’s Brutus he sent me a text that it was slutty, there were sea hags, and Juanita MORE was there. Now while I’m assuming these things were unrelated, given the images I was delivered my imagination has been left to run wild. Given their individual and combined track records, Mario Diaz & Chris Bowen sure know how to throw a party.
For further Faultline shenanigans be sure to show up on Tuesday the 29th. Jeremy and I have some surprises in store for you. RSVP here. Yes, shameless self-promotion at it’s best.
