284/ FURR TRADE

2010_11_20
As of late we’ve been spending more time at Faultline, and loving every minute of it. Though I’ve heard of antics that occur at Furr Trade, this past Saturday was the first time I’ve been able to attend. With a who’s who of the LA bear social scene in attendance, it was the place to be for the large and hairy. Very glad that Thor and Brian have taken over this night – they turned out quite the happy 3rd birthday for this party, looking very forward to this new for me monthly destination.
The only regret I have from that evening was the late night and completely unnecessary fried and greasy Denny’s dinner we had at 3am – never again.

278/ RIM JOB

2010_11_16
Back from San Francisco, and back to the grind. I mean the physical grind, as in hip gyrations – as in the kind that strippers do in order to get those dollar bills, y’all. I hit up my favorite Tuesday night hang out, Rim Job at MJ’s and spent the evening celebrating a birthday and a movie premiere ‘Is It Just Me?’ Jeremy Lucido came out to welcome me back with drinks and humor – only the best.
Nothing like a dancer humping a champagne balloon says happy birthday!

260/ SCARY MARY

2010_10_29
Eric Adams masterminded Scary Mary by bring together LA super promoters Mario Diaz, Chris Bowen, Victor Rodriguez, & Cody Bayne and throwing one of the weekend’s most massive parties at 740. The costumes were redic, and the people were drunk – how I missed you 740. Some of the best costumes of the evening in my humble opinion were the bag of coke, and of course my intoxicated friend Jeremy’s version of an oompa loompa.
I decided to dress up as Mario Diaz for the evening, and somehow managed to make myself unrecognizable to some – but it really shouldn’t have been to hard to tell it was me, I mean the camera is a dead give away. Given the large quantity of people on hand, I was very lucky to have Brandon on hand to help me capture all the ridiculousness. One word: amazeballs. Makes me wish Halloween was once a month, but then again, I might die.

229/ FOLSOM SATURDAY

2010_09_25 >>
While Saturday afternoon started off quite peacefully at Dolores Park with George (@GeorgeJaramillo), Landon (@LandonConrad), Kennedy (@Kennedy_Carter), a bottle of Patron, and other assorted porn stars, the rest of the day seemed like a race across town. After a couple of hours soaking up the sun I went to meet Jeremy Lucido (@starrfucker) at the Big Muscle Party, not necessarily the best choice re: venue, but any time with Jeremy is a good time. Also on the Muscle Party +side was being able to see Alessio Romero (@AlessioRomero) and a few other LA friends in the sea of sweet. Actually, those may have been all the good aspects to the party.

After a quick nap, and dinner with Warren and Nick (@nickfoxx) we went to the Raging Stallion party. This was then followed with the tornado that was the combo of Big Top and Poppers. I say tornado, given that the only way to describe the proceeding hours after exiting the Raging Stallion party functioned as a force of nature. I saw many a homie, and given that the list would be longer than 20, I’m going to skip over listing everyone in this instance. Love you all – but it must be said that the surprise of Mario Diaz (@mariodiaz) at Folsom was an amazing surprise.

223/ JRL AWARDS

2010_09_19 >>
At this point in the game, we don’t need to rehash how horrible the show went. Yet, we do need to applaud Jason Sechrest for doing an amazing job as host – much love. Also, thanks to Jeremy Lucido for being my date.

177/ BRUTUS

Last Saturday I had to hop out on early flight to San Francisco, granted I slept through my first one, but the next one would still be considered early. Early morning flights are not my friend, fyi. While I had a blast handling the business up north, I was sad to have missed the nautical circus that was Brutus. Discussing the event the evening prior with the Faultline gentlemen, I knew that the turn out was going to be nothing short of epic.
Since I was gone, and the rest of the team was otherwise engaged, I knew I had to bring out the big guns with a suitable sub. Given that, I asked Randy Blue’s (@randyblue) photographer extraordinaire Jeremy Lucido (@jeremylucido) to handle RB duties, and luckily he obliged. Jeremy, more than made me proud, and captured the essence of the evening, and it was hot. Given that Mario Diaz (@mariodiaz) & Chris Bowen were joining forces for a sailor party at the Faultline, you had to know that few people would sober, and even less would be fully clothed. Drunk sea men? Genius.

119/ POST-PRIDE RIM JOB

With many coming into town for the previous weekend’s Pride festivities, some decided to extend their trip, either to recover or to continue the party. One of those individuals happened to be Randy Blue’s own Chip Tanner. Honestly, I’m not sure where Chip is from, or living these days, but he was dancing at MJ’s – that’s my point. He, along with Travis James cause quite the commotion in the outside shower, leaving them with an audience all night.
Randy Blue boys without clothes also typically indicates that I’ll get some hang time with Jeremy Lucido, luckily for me, that was the case again this time. & on that note, it was also good to see Shawn and Ry, with clothes on for once.

84/ TEXT, LIES, & VIDEOTAPE

Last Monday the release party for Text, Lies, & Videotape was held at Here Lounge. The fete was combined with the Sassy Drag show, porn and Queens – pretty much describes my life. Being a huge supporter and friend of the folks over at Randy Blue, I was honored to be asked to shoot the event and immediately agreed. Fan favorites Chris Rockway, Dallas Evans, and Micah Brandt signed autographs and had the honor or judging the queen contest, all while shirtless. Needless to say the crowd was bigger than any Sassy audience I’ve ever seen. Personally, I’m very much looking forward to seeing the movie, especially since total sweethearts, Nicco Sky and Riley Price both make appearances – love you guys. I also have to admit I’ve quickly developing a crush on Travis James who also came to hang out – a top notch guy! Plus wearing an X-Men cap earns immediate nerd points with me.
