After witnessing an amazing performance by the xx at the Music Box earlier in the evening – photos here>>, I was on my way to Fubar for DUKE and a rather explicit performance by Pipes. It isn’t so much the lyrical content that garners the parental advisory rating, but the costume change into an embellished leather jockstrap. Then again, those type of changes should be accepted as run of the mill at Duke. It’s also kind of great when you walk into a bar and know every dancer there, EVERY ONE. I’ll be back again this Saturday, wear your finest in fetish.

Last Saturday I was all over town for 2 birthdays, an anniversary, and a farewell party. Diana & Mike had a joint birthday celebration at Traver’s studio. The event function as bookends to my night, as I arrived early to shoot ther honorees before they were too intoxicated, and after when I knew the party would be in full swing. Got to love those two.

Last Saturday marked the birthday of the one and only Cody Bayne, I for one find this to be a cause of celebration. It’s just a coincidence that the date happened to coincide with his weekly at Fubar, Duke. Being an excellent artist, and more importantly friend I was more than happy to swing by and photograph. Coming straight from set, I brought Chanel as my date and after the long day we had, were ready to let loose. And that we did. Very glad I took pictures, a many, including myself, needed some help piecing the night together. Happy Birthday Cody!

To begin with please excuse the construction as I transfer over from blogger to wordpress. I don’t intend to create a mess, it’s just something that comes naturally to me.
The weekend before Coachella was jam-packed with events. It was good practice for what is likely to be a pleasantly overwhelming weekend. First off, after being on-set all day I stopped by Cody Bayne’s art opening at Skingraft. I’ve seen photographs of his work, typically on facebook, and to see the pieces in person proves that the photos due them no justice. I highly recommend stopping by before May 5th when the show comes down – do it!
