This Saturday at MJ’s was the total PACKAGE. The night started out demurely with performances by the beautiful ladies of The Dreamgirls Revue…who am I kidding?! Beautiful – YES, demure – NO! These brassy, buxom, buckwild broads turned it OUT! My favorite part: the audience member lip sync contest for the Florence and The Machine tickets! Clothes started falling off and suddenly the Underwear Party was in full swing. Forget to wear your cutest “f***-me” briefs? Never fear, Whitey Tighties brand undies were there to make everyone’s junk pop! DJ Hazmat supplied those crazy baby-making rhythms, there were great drink specials, and even the opportunity to buy sweaty banana hammocks off the go-gos! Naturally, a prideful time was had by all!

Saturday evening brought the return of the Dreamgirls to MJ’s. Followed by an underwear party, complete with a rather intoxicated bachlorette party, the stage was set for a very debaucherous evening. Gotta say, queen bee Chad Michaels’ Green Lantern costume was out of this world, so much so that it made the Katy Perry lip-syncing tolerable – that’s a slight on Katy, not Chad fyi.

Last night we celebrated Anthony Lopez’s birthday in a manner befitting the MJ’s head honcho, that being with drag queens, gogos, and lots of booze. After the drag queens hit the stage, the muscle queens took of their shirts and that’s when the real fun started. Wet underwear contests have never been more appropriate to the occasion.
To the boss man, hope you’re birthday was one of the most inappropriate yet.

After the girls had their fun, it was time for the boys to play, in their underwear even! The club was packed with the usual assortment of delicious eye candy this night. DJ Hazmat was on hand again this night throwing down the hottest beats. If you’re weren’t there, you should be kicking yourself now right about now.

Parties at MJ’s are always a mixed bag, every week someone takes a sampling of gays from different lifestyles and neighborhoods through out LA, puts them in a bag, adds a good dose of naughty, shakes it up, and pours them into the bar. From some well known drag queens, Dolly Levi, Venus D-Lite, Detox, and Sonique, to some of the hottest, raunchiest gogos in all of LA. This Saturday night was one that certainly did not fail to be a good drunken time for all.

F what you’ve heard; Joan Rivers isn’t the hardest working bitch in the business, the illustrious ladies of the Dreamgirls Revue snatched the title. Saturday night, MJ’s reeked of tuna…the good way! The syncing, the comedy, the wigs – it was all too much! I screamed for them until my voice gave out. And then the evening shifted tone. Everyone “slipped into something more comfortable” and the Underwear Party was in full swing. Nearly naked bodies writhed on the dance floor. This night was quite the spectacle across the board. Come for the drag, stay for the unmentionables.
