Who runs the world? Bears. MJs started the Labor Day weekend off with Friday night’s Bear Trap. DJs Michael Carrera and B. Magick tore up the dance floor for a good ol’ crazy night of furriness. All you need is some bears, a couple cubs, otters, wolves, pandas (?), and polar bears (??), and you got yourself one hell of a party. Good times.

The first of July brought out the foam and the furr at MJ’s Bar. DJ Hazmat’s Bear Trap took over as it typically does on the first Friday of the month. To commemorate the coming of the summer weather in the most inappropriate fashion possible, the foam was brought in. To cover all the bases of pervasion, porn-star Preston Steel was dancing along with the Shawn Morales branded gogos. Luckily I had adult film aficionado and the guys behind Sold Out clothing were on hand to point him out to me.
The furr was most definitely flying.

This Saturday at MJ’s was the total PACKAGE. The night started out demurely with performances by the beautiful ladies of The Dreamgirls Revue…who am I kidding?! Beautiful – YES, demure – NO! These brassy, buxom, buckwild broads turned it OUT! My favorite part: the audience member lip sync contest for the Florence and The Machine tickets! Clothes started falling off and suddenly the Underwear Party was in full swing. Forget to wear your cutest “f***-me” briefs? Never fear, Whitey Tighties brand undies were there to make everyone’s junk pop! DJ Hazmat supplied those crazy baby-making rhythms, there were great drink specials, and even the opportunity to buy sweaty banana hammocks off the go-gos! Naturally, a prideful time was had by all!
