462/ SF PRIDE

This past weekend Pride festivities took place in Chicago, Seattle, New York and San Francisco. I opted to continue the tradition of heading north and swing by various parties. Highlights included MR. on Friday, the double dose of Joshua J. events on Saturday, and of course Juanita More’s famous Pride party at the Phoenix Hotel. The weekend was a blur, likely for more people than just I but then again it wouldn’t be Pride without the repression of bad decisions. Good times, forgotten by some, it can happen when Rihanna is your spirit animal.

JUANITA MORE’S PRIDE

With LA Pride fast approaching, it reminds me that San Francisco’s edition isn’t far behind. Over the past few years it’s become a modern tradition to make the trek up north and partake in the festivities, the highlight of which is always Juanita MORE’s annual Pride party. Having become good friends with the SF icon, I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed the event and it appears that I’ll be granted that same privilege again this year. There’s no other place to be on Sunday.

401/ RENEGADE

Friday night’s San Francisco treat was witnessing the kink and fetish competition, Renegade. I’ve been informed that the winner goes to compete at IML in Chicago, coincidentally the same weekend as the Grabbys – meaning I’ll just happen to be in the area.
In addition to the “show” I got spend the evening with Sword staff members and general cut-ups Silvio Silva and Jack Shamama. With that in mind, a good time was all but guaranteed regardless of our surroundings, well as long as the venue served liquor. A night spent in a room full of mean with a penchant for costumes and musky scents, what more could I have asked for? All kidding aside, it was another great SF night that will need to be pieced together by all parties involved for fond recollection.
Congrats to the winner with a heart of gold and buns of steel, Steven Guenther.

320/ SF NYE

I rang in the end of the year with a gluttony of drag queens and a porn star. Given my track record, I feel that it was the most appropriate way to spend it. To be specific, the drag queens were the ladies of Trannyshack, with Heklina & Joshua J. holding court; and Mr. Kennedy Carter who manages to carry himself with such humility and humor it only makes him more attractive. The event, held at DNA Lounge, was packed to put it mildly. I think this may have been one of the few New Year’s that I’ve fully enjoyed as of late. Thank you ladies and boys of the night for the good times, even though my getting kicked was TOTALLY not my fault. Needless to say, there was a whole lot of look.
Btw, homie Kennedy has started an entertaining blog recently that captures aforementioned humor with undeniable intelligence. A recommended read, hyperlink above, and here if you’re lazy.

Skipping ahead in some continuity to catch up to current and therefore relevant times, we’re going to catch up beginning with last week’s Booty Call. Lovely hosts and SF family, Juanita MORE & Joshua J. had me roam the especially massive crowd at Q Bar last Wednesday and I was more than elated. As always, with any trip into San Francisco, it was great to see all my friends in what has quickly become my second home over the course of the last year. Thnx for the fun, the stories, and to that handsome dude from Berkeley for making a pass at me in the most romantic fashion, appreciated dude.

232/ FOLSOM SUNDAY

To put it mildly, Folsom street fair was a cluster-fuck. I do mean that in the best way possible, but it functioned like a Disneyland of leather would, or at least how I assume one would function. Being lucky enough to be stationed at the Naked Sword / Raging Stallion booth, there was an continual influx of hot gentleman coming in out, this in addition to the adult models. Good times through the afternoon, also on the plus side was meeting an intellectual babe – always a treat.
Also, especially random was realizing, friend and Randy Blue (@randyblue) model Travis James’ (@travisjamesxxx) ex Kyle King (@kylekingxxx) and I went to school together. More than that, we had classes together – it’s a small adult world after all.

229/ FOLSOM SATURDAY

While Saturday afternoon started off quite peacefully at Dolores Park with George (@GeorgeJaramillo), Landon (@LandonConrad), Kennedy (@Kennedy_Carter), a bottle of Patron, and other assorted porn stars, the rest of the day seemed like a race across town. After a couple of hours soaking up the sun I went to meet Jeremy Lucido (@starrfucker) at the Big Muscle Party, not necessarily the best choice re: venue, but any time with Jeremy is a good time. Also on the Muscle Party +side was being able to see Alessio Romero (@AlessioRomero) and a few other LA friends in the sea of sweet. Actually, those may have been all the good aspects to the party.

After a quick nap, and dinner with Warren and Nick (@nickfoxx) we went to the Raging Stallion party. This was then followed with the tornado that was the combo of Big Top and Poppers. I say tornado, given that the only way to describe the proceeding hours after exiting the Raging Stallion party functioned as a force of nature. I saw many a homie, and given that the list would be longer than 20, I’m going to skip over listing everyone in this instance. Love you all – but it must be said that the surprise of Mario Diaz (@mariodiaz) at Folsom was an amazing surprise.

Right off the plane from LA, I dropped off my bag and headed straight to the GAYVN after party. With George Jaramillo (@georgejaramillo) and Landon Conrad (@landonconrad) in tow we were more than ready to hit the open bar. Thanks for the hook up Zach. (@zacharysire)
The night itself was a bit blurry given the frantic pace, but I managed to see a few old friends and make some new ones – quite priceless. Also, a big congratulations to my friends at Randy Blue (@randyblue) for winning best site, quite happy for them.
Given with how fast and crowded the evening was, I still managed to find enough time to develop a crush on Kennedy Carter (@Kennedy_Carter) – while being quite the looker, he’s also a swell fellow.
