The trannies from the north partnered with the lady boys from the south under the supervision of Heklina and Cody Bayne, to bring us the not often-enough occurring Trannyshack LA. With special guest Cazwell in the house to serve up some Burger King realness, both coasts were represented and the sexually-confused shenanigans could thus ensue. From the disgusting to the mainstream, all aspects of drag were covered and evening was wrapped up with the release of Johnny Makeup from a cage whilst dressed in head to toe Jeremy Scott.

This past weekend Pride festivities took place in Chicago, Seattle, New York and San Francisco. I opted to continue the tradition of heading north and swing by various parties. Highlights included MR. on Friday, the double dose of Joshua J. events on Saturday, and of course Juanita More’s famous Pride party at the Phoenix Hotel. The weekend was a blur, likely for more people than just I but then again it wouldn’t be Pride without the repression of bad decisions. Good times, forgotten by some, it can happen when Rihanna is your spirit animal.

With LA Pride fast approaching, it reminds me that San Francisco’s edition isn’t far behind. Over the past few years it’s become a modern tradition to make the trek up north and partake in the festivities, the highlight of which is always Juanita MORE’s annual Pride party. Having become good friends with the SF icon, I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed the event and it appears that I’ll be granted that same privilege again this year. There’s no other place to be on Sunday.
