After closing up shop at the Frontiers booth, I headed over to experience the east-side version of Pride. Major differences from it’s west-side companion included the hipster aesthetic and more disco influenced beats. While being a tired bunch, we still managed to continue drinking in honor or LA Pride, or more importantly celebrating the birthday of drag diva Phyllis Navidad. Plus with many native San Franciscans in attendance, it was pretty evident that we’d be celebrating hard in the coming weeks.
Thnx to the supreme beats of Chris Bowen and a special set by NY’s own Gant Johnson, our bodies managed to keep dancing in-despite of the exhaustion. Then again, the hooch likely helped.
