06/ NEW YORK, BEIGE OUT
Posted on November 4, 2009 by Gabe
So, my first night in the city, I had a little too much fun, or A LOT rather. I lost my phone, but thankfully not my camera. The first spot of the night was at the CMJ Spectre party. The establishment was Cheers reminiscent, but the people didn’t know my name.
I have to say, I’m a sucker for any bar with a pinball machine, repeat: ANY BAR.

Then it was of the showcase at Webster Hall to catch Free Energy. LOVE THEM. As a good friend of mine says “little bubble hearts around my head.” The party was great, chatted with some friends, then I ducked out towards the end of Golden Filter’s set, SORRY. But, I really did need some pizza.

After acquiring some sustenance I cabbed it over to Beige. I used to shoot the event of the same name out here, so I needed to see where it originated from. I arrived to the open arms of Sophia Lamar.

The little bubble hearts reference may be used again here. Had some drinks, chatted with Alan Cumming – the nicest guy, then it was bed time. Thank you NY for a lovely welcome.

FULL NIGHT here.
